Lovell Homes has donated a total of £1800 worth of Book Tokens to schools and pre-schools surrounding its current developments, to mark World Book Day (Thursday 7th March).
Currently selling homes at its Greetham Gardens, The Spires, The Oaks, The Coppice and Willow Grange developments, Lovell Homes donated the vouchers to help improve the pre-schools book collection encouraging the children to read more.
The schools and pre-schools located in Rutland, Branston, Rauceby, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Doncaster respectively invited the pupils to dress up as their favourite book characters in celebration of the national day, where children across the country are encouraged to come together to appreciate reading.
Stella Groarke, the Head Teacher at St. Peter’s Catholic Primary School in Doncaster said: “We are so grateful to Lovell Homes for their wonderful support. Reading is our passion at St Peter’s and throughout the generous donation from Lovell we will be able to restock our KS1 class reading areas so that our younger children can develop their passion for reading from an early age.”
Toni Boden, regional sales manager at Lovell Homes said: “We are thrilled to be able to support the local community through encouraging local children to get stuck into a good book.
“World Book Day is a great national celebration, and we hope the children will make the most of the new books the school can now purchase.”
